Stelligent News Test Early™
March 2006

On Monday, March 20th, Vanward Technologies officially changed its name to Stelligent Incorporated. This has been the culmination of many exciting changes that have taken place since the acquisition of Vanward by JNetDirect in late 2005.

Our focus remains the same- helping you ensure software quality early and often. In fact, we’re most excited as we’ve created a new offering that quickly gives organizations an objective barometer on current quality processes and practices.

Our Kickstart Quality Risk Assessment utilizes the Stelligent Quality Risk Index™ in calculating a five-point scorecard that analyzes and ranks risks associated with

  • Developer Testing
  • Test Coverage
  • Code Complexity
  • Build Strategy
  • Software Configuration Management Strategy

This program serves as a mechanism to assess where any quality issues may reside and how to properly address them with as little risk as possible.

What’s more, we’re pleased to announce that Stelligent has hired Paul Duvall, who you may remember from last year's interview, as Chief Technology Officer. Paul brings new perspectives to the Stelligent team and we’re excited that he has chosen to join us!

Lastly, in the coming days, vanwardtechnologies.com will begin directing incoming web traffic to stelligent.com; moreover, all Vanward content, including interviews and articles, will be moved to Stelligent.

Sincerely,

Andrew Glover
President, Stelligent Incorporated

He is also a contributing author to The UML 2 Toolkit (Wiley, 2003) and is currently co-authoring Continuous Integration: Improving Software Quality and Reducing Risk (Addison-Wesley, 2006).

Paul’s insights into software infrastructure and risk management are unparalleled in our industry and as CTO of Stelligent, his passion for software quality is already yielding exciting innovations to our solutions. Keep an eye out on testearly.com for his thoughts on building quality into software!

    Testearly.com launched

Stelligent's new blog, testearly.com, was launched earlier this month focusing solely on topics related to building quality into software. In fact, check out the most recent blog entries on code audits, XML verification, compliance, and software infrastructure patterns. Feel free to provide comments on the blog and share your experiences with the community.

    Curious about the Kickstart Assessment?

Our Kickstart Quality Risk Assessment objectively analyzes and scores the five cornerstones of quality. Are you curious how this assessment can help you? We’ve posted a sample Kickstart Assessment on stelligent.com to give you an idea of the format and depth.

By understanding and addressing any quality issues that may exist within your organization’s development team (onshore or offshore), you can ultimately facilitate decreasing the time it takes to find defects after they are introduced.

    Upcoming Speaking Engagements

Andrew Glover and Paul Duvall will be speaking in the coming months- stop by and say hi to them if you are able to attend one of these events!
