Stelligent Partners with Borland to Help Customers Maximize the Value of Gauntlet™ Implementations

Stelligent Incorporated, an expert consulting firm advising leading companies on optimizing software production, today announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Borland Software Corporation, the global leader in Open Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

Under the terms of the agreement, Stelligent will provide implementation services for customers of Borland® Gauntlet™. Gauntlet is an open continuous integration and test tool that proactively builds and tests code, isolates defects, and reports key development metrics across the entire software delivery lifecycle.

By combining Stelligent’s expertise as a professional consulting organization – with core competencies in build, SCM, inspection and analysis tools, with the innovative continuous build and test automation capabilities of Borland Gauntlet, the companies will enable organizations to continuously track, measure and improve software quality throughout the application lifecycle.

“As the thought-leader in optimized software production, we see unique features in the Gauntlet product and are pleased to be working with Borland to deliver those features to our mutual customers,” said Burke Cox, CEO of Stelligent. “In particular, we applaud Borland’s leadership on definable quality gates, or gauntlets, as a way to identify and isolate potential problems much earlier in the software development lifecycle.”

“Borland is excited to be working with Stelligent as the first consulting partner with a specialized focus and core competencies in the continuous integration and developer build and test management space,” said Rob Cheng, director of Development Intelligence Solutions at Borland. “Stelligent’s expertise in this segment will enable customers with less mature build or test practices to take full advantage of Gauntlet’s powerful capabilities and deliver maximum value from their investment.

Stelligent and Borland also collaborated to co-author a new white paper with Freepository Corp. The white paper, entitled “The Top 10 Blunders in Integration and Testing…And How to Avoid Them,” discusses the business and technical impacts of common testing and integration errors and is available for free download at http:// www.borland.com/blunders.

Gauntlet is a core component of the Borland Lifecycle Quality Management solution and is available today. For more information on Borland Gauntlet, please visit:
