January 10-11, 2008
Stelligent President, Andrew Glover, has been selected to present at the CodeMash Conference, January 10-11, 2008 at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio.
CodeMash is a unique event that educates developers on current practices, methodologies,
and technology trends in variety of platforms and development languages such as
Java, .NET, Ruby and PHP.
Andy has been slotted to present two sessions: 1) "Introduction to
Behavior-driven development" which will look at what BDD is, how it is an evolutionary result of Test
Driven Development, and how it shifts the traditional testing
vocabulary from being test-based to behavior-based and 2) "Get going with Groovy quickly" which will go over the basics of the language and focus on Groovy
Builders, GroovySQL, Templates, Groovlets, and putting Groovy to use
for unit testing normal Java applications.
Andy will also be moderating the openspaces session, "The future of build languages" which will be an open discussion regarding Ant style (i.e. - XML driven platforms) versus more expressive platforms like Rake, Raven, and Gant, for example.
