Hi Andrew,
You're going to want to check out two
articles that leverage Stelligent's expertise
in Agile engineering-- "Spreading
the Agile Practice" (published by SD
Times) highlights the advantages when practicing
agile development throughout a distributed
team while eWEEK's article, "Industry
Seeks Software Testing Breakthrough",
weighs in on a new testing approach
software developers will be seeing in the
near future.
I'm also excited to announce that our
"Share your TDD horror
stories" was quite the hit! Held
on Halloween Eve, the turnout was
"spooktaculous"-- it was the Stelligent staff
who came dressed in costumes for the
occasion, but it was the normally dressed
people in
attendance that put on a good show in
conversation around TDD scares.
Also, you'll want to
check out the
results from a survey we handed
out that evening-- the results were
quite enlightening!
Finally, we're pleased to announce that
Stelligent has hired
Paul Julius,
who some
of you may know as the guru behind CruiseControl
and the CITCON
conference. Paul adds new depth and
breadth of perspective to the Stelligent team
and we're thrilled
that he has joined us!
Sincerely,
Andrew Glover

Incorporated

Our first annual "Share
your TDD horror stories" event
last month
was a huge success. A great crowd of CTOs,
IT and project managers were in attendance to
discuss the benefits and goals of developer
testing and
why it is beneficial to practice test-driven
development.
At the end of the evening, we handed out a survey
on the subject of TDD and its adoption
rate. The
purpose of the survey was to examine why TDD
is (or isn't)
being practiced. Do you think it's
surprising that our results indicate a
majority of organizations
do not practice TDD?
