Executive Roundtable on Agile Development Methodologies
Boston, MA
On September 20, 2007 approximately 20 CIO’s, Senior IT managers and speakers from the SD Best Practices conference were in attendance to discuss the definition of agile methods, the value it brings as well as key industry trends and challenges at Stelligent's roundtable discussion.
The discussion centered around why there was lack of Agile adoption amongst CIOs. Cited reasons included fear of uncertainty, risk of process change, lack of specific results and a general misunderstanding of the “agile” concept. While there are many obstacles cited for not implementing agile methods, the majority in attendance believe CIO’s would adopt agile methods into their environment upon understanding the business benefits derived from this approach.
