Stelligent Strengthens Executive Team with Key Hire
Addition of Jeff Nielsen underscores Stelligent's ability to attract industry's top Agile thought leaders

Stelligent Incorporated today announced the appointment of Jeff Nielsen who will join the company's management team as Executive Vice President of Agile Strategies.  In this leadership position, Nielsen will play an integral role in the company's strategic direction, development, and future growth.

Bringing more than 20 years of corporate strategy, consulting, and software development experience, Nielsen most recently was the Chief Agile Officer at Command Information (formerly Digital Focus).  He pioneered Digital Focus's use of agile methods in early 2001 and was the driving force in their establishment as an industry-leading agile development consultancy.  During his tenure at Digital Focus, Nielsen coached numerous teams and organizations, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in transitioning to Agile.

Previously, Nielsen worked for Dallas-based ObjectSpace as an enterprise architect and as a consultant to the federal government.

"Jeff's extensive background coupled with his unparalleled industry insight makes him an invaluable addition to the Stelligent team," said Burke Cox, CEO of Stelligent.  "The appointment of Jeff falls in line with our strategy to attract top industry talent.  We look forward to the benefits of Jeff's contributions and the significance he will provide to our growing client base."

"To date, Stelligent has effectively penetrated an under-served area of the agile consulting market--the adoption of crucial agile engineering practices that enable true iterative, incremental development.  I look forward to working with the rest of the executive team to refine and expand our service offerings, in order to help organizations make fundamental improvements in the way they build software."

Nielsen is a sought-after speaker at industry events, published online and print author, and currently serves on the organizing committee for the Agile 2008 conference.
