October 27 - 30, 2008
Stelligent executives, Paul Julius, Jeff Nielsen, and Meera Subbarao have each been selected to present at the SD Best Practices Conference & Expo being held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA.
Paul
Julius, EVP of Professional Services at Stelligent, is slotted to
present two sessions; both of which occur on Thursday, October 30th.
His first presentation, Creating Habitable Code: Lessons in Longevity from an Open Source Project (1:30 - 3:00pm), will review the architecture of CruiseControl and its success. His second session, Pair Programming with Pizazz (3:30 - 5:00 pm), includes hands-on demonstrations of pair programming techniques and a discussion about when to use each technique.
Stelligent EVP of Agile Strategies, Jeff Nielsen, will also be presenting on Thursday, October 30th. His session, What Is Testing All the Time? (10:30 - 12:00 pm), will walk through a week in the life of an agile team and discuss how
testing forms an integral part of everyone's day-to-day work.
Also presenting on Thursday from 10:30 - 12:00 pm, will be Meera
Subbarao, Senior Software Consultant at Stelligent. Her
session, Web Services Testing Made Easy and Fun with SoapUI, will demonstrate how SoapUI can be used to write functional tests by
creating and executing test suites and test cases against your web
services. You'll also learn how to use Groovy for assertions, properties
setup and also within the setup and teardown for each test suite or
testcase. And, finally, a demonstration will be conducted on how these tests can be
integrated with continuous integration.
