Stelligent Introduces NDbUnit 1.2 Project on QualityLabs.org
RESTON, VA -- July 31, 2006 -- Stelligent Incorporated, the leader in early testing solutions that eliminate quality guesswork and guarantees defect-resistant code, announced today that they are releasing a new version of NDbUnit at Quality Labs.
Quality Labs, which is sponsored by Stelligent, is a development and distribution environment for the open-source community with the goal of further expanding projects and forums dedicated to enhancing software quality. Quality Labs is platform agnostic and strongly believes in the benefits of open source, hence all Quality Labs projects have business-friendly licensing.
The 1.2 release of NDbUnit, a .NET framework for simplifying developer testing of code which relies on a database, is primarily a bug fix release and also contains improved execution handling. Full .NET 2.0 support of the new version is still being worked out; however, the framework appears to work without changes in most scenarios.
NDbUnit provides a solution for controlling a database dependency within applications by putting a database into a known, stable state between test runs. It allows you to define which data should be present when your tests are run and may be used to increase repeatability in unit tests that interact with a database by ensuring that the database's state is consistent across execution of tests.
