Stelligent Director Receives Prestigious Industry Hall of Fame Award
RESTON, VA -- November 16, 2005 -- Stelligent
is pleased to announce that Mr. Earle C. Williams, Board Member of
Stelligent, was recently inducted into the Greater Washington
Government Contractors Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor
acknowledges his significant presence in the IT industry and remarkable
contributions to the Washington community.
Recognized as a pioneer of the government IT industry, Earle Williams,
former President and CEO of BDM International Inc., led his business
from 1972 until his retirement in 1992. During this time, BDM grew from
$7.7 million in sales and 430 employees to sales of $420 million and
4,500 employees. Mr. Williams remained on the board of directors until
BDM was acquired by TRW in December 1997. In addition to solidifying
his professional endeavors in the technology community, Williams worked
hard to personally promote Northern Virginia through national
advertising campaigns and sponsoring charity events at his home.
“We are proud of our association with Mr. Williams,” said Stelligent
CEO Burke Cox. “Our company is fortunate to have such a distinguished
member of the technology community involved with our operations. His
experience, expertise and advice have been critical to the success of
our strategic plans.”
The Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards are presented
annually by the Northern Virginia GovCon Council, an initiative of the
Fairfax County Chamber, the Professional Services Council, and
Washington Technology magazine. The exclusive Hall of Fame award is
presented to a current or former Greater Washington executive of a
government company who has an established reputation of growth,
success, and a history of personal contributions to the community,
company, and industry.
