Come hear, Andy Glover, President of Stelligent™ discuss Code Coverage Myths and Realities at the Better Software Conference in Las Vegas. The presentation is based on his Don't be fooled by the coverage report article on devWorks; however he will be broadening the example tools to include NCover and Clover.NET. Additionally the presentation will cover two mutation testing tools: Hansel for Java and Nester for .NET. Both tools offer proactive coverage analysis, which can further enhance a quality process.
Topics he will further explore include:
- The concept of mutation testing and how it fits into a code coverage strategy
- How the different types of code coverage (branch, line coverage, etc.) can mislead
- Actionable items obtained from coverage results
