New IBM Series of Articles "Automation for the people" by Stelligent CTO
Continuous Inspection
Paul Duvall, CTO of Stelligent, introduces his new "Automation for the people" series dedicated to exploring the practical uses of automating software development processes and teaching you when and how to apply automation successfully. Published by IBM developerWorks, Paul's first article "Continuous Inspection" looks at how you can free yourself from mundane, manual inspections with software inspectors.
Paul begins his series by examining three automated inspectors: CheckStyle, JavaNCSS, and CPD. He looks at how these inspectors enhance the development process, when you should use them, and how these tools will help improve quality.
Next month he'll take a closer look at some of the more interesting Continuous Integration tools available, such as CruiseControl, Luntbuild, and Continuum.
