Stelligent developed CI as a Service so you can spend more time making your applications better for your customers and less time setting up your environments. With a single command, CI as a Service creates a fresh virtual hardware instance in the cloud, installs the necessary software, configures the environment, starts up the servers and links it all back to your source code repository in just a few minutes so that you can get right back to developing and testing your application in a clean environment.
CI as a Service helps you reduce your IT budget by creating a working Continuous Integration infrastructure - and complete technical stack - in the cloud. When you are done, you simply dispose of the instance and you are no longer charged for it and can create new instances as often as your project requires.
CI as a Service installs and configures all the components for a common open-source technical stack:
- Fedora Core Linux operating system
- MySQL database server
- Java
- Ant
- Subversion client
- Hudson Continuous Integration server (sitting on the Tomcat web container)
Once CI as a Service has run and the new instance is in place, you simply open the Hudson dashboard that was automatically configured as part of the provisioning process to see the results of your builds from source. You will also have full root-level access (private key provided when ordering the software) to the instance so that you can configure the instance as necessary for your project.
CI as a Service is a SaaS offering that is built using the same tools that Stelligent uses on its large-scale enterprise build and deployment projects, which means you never need to worry about setting up or managing your own build & deployment tools ... you just fill out a simple form with the vital information about your environment and settings and hit the "Provision" button whenever you want a fresh environment.
